"Macedonian"
Language, official
language of the Former Yugoslav Republic
of Macedonia (FYROM). "Macedonian" is the
native language of more than 1.5 million inhabitants of the
republic, and it is the second language for Albanians and
others. It is one of the Slavic languages
and uses the Cyrillic alphabet, but
because there are no clear linguistic divisions that correspond
to the geopolitical divisions in the South Slavic language area,
there is considerable dispute regarding recognition and
classification of the Macedonian language.
Literary
works have been published in "Macedonian" dialects
since the end of the 18th century. The modern literary language
dates only from 1944, when it was formally declared the language
of Yugoslav Macedonia. It was quickly standardized in the
following years. "Macedonian" and the closely related Bulgarian
language share a number of features that are unique among
the Slavic languages, including the loss of cases, a suffixed
definite article, and a large variety of verb tenses. |

Comment:
It's well established from reading this extract that the so
called "Macedonian" Language is a Slavic
language, originated from the main Slavic languages in the
end of 18th century, and is not related whatsoever with the Ancient
Greek language, spoken by the Ancient Macedonians.
Therefore: another FYROM lie exposed!
